A 5 star luxury hotel on the shores of Lake Lucerne for wellness, weddings, meetings and banquets, Park Weggis is a little piece of heaven offset by Lucerne’s picturesque landscapes, situated 30 minutes’ drive from Lucerne, 55 km form Zurich international airport, and 290 km from Geneva.

The hotel was opened in 1875 as the Hotel Bellevue. The main building and Schlössli wings are art nouveau constructions. The hotel takes pride of place in the centre of a 22,000 m2 park set in the spectacular heart of the Alps. Park Weggis is part of the Relais & Chateaux group.

The hotel has three main restaurants:
Gourmet restaurant annex: Awarded a 1 Star in Guide Michelin Switzerland 2008 and 15 Gault Millau points, this restaurant serves a light, healthy, aromatic gourmet’s cuisine with a tempting blend of traditional French influence and harmonious Asian and Mediterranean inspiration. By the creative conversion of his innovative cuisine, wherever possible, Chef René Rischmeyer selects market-fresh seasonal products from the region.
Sparks Restaurant: Awarded 14 Gault Millau points, this Swiss kitchen serves a light sparkling cuisine in a trendy atmosphere. Beneath candelabras in the art nouveau banquet hall, guests enjoy the best of everything with delicious Sparks delicacies created by Chef Florian Gilges.
The Grape Restaurant: This restaurant offers Californian wines from the Napa Valley, specialities from around the world and a wide range of juicy steaks from the grill.

Park Weggis also has a beach bar lounge, caviar-bar and wine cellar. With some 2,600 items on offer the Park Hotel Weggis boasts one of the best wine lists in Switzerland. The extensive choice also includes absolute rarities, a choice selection that spans the vineyards of the world and lends a new dimension to enjoyment of wine. The award-winning list is a consistent winner of The Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence.

To pamper themselves, guests can choose from the Med Beauty centre, Sparkling Wellness spa and Japanese Meditation Garden. The hotel also boasts the Aquarius Hall exhibition centre, a private beach, dock and boats, an open-air pool, a fitness centre with top of the rage weight-loss and cardio equipment, table tennis, billiards, mountain bikes, water skates, catamaran trips, library and crèche. There are all 6 golf clubs within easy reach.

The hotel has 53 exquisite rooms, 43 of which can be found in the hotel’s main building and 10 suites in the new Adara wing. The main Schlossli building houses 34 rooms and 9 suites. All rooms are equipped with a Bose Audio Device, Panasonic TV/DVD Device, WiFi, coffee maker, telephone, answer phone, mini-bar, safe, hair dryer and bathrobe. Rooms in the main building have a balcony or terrace with a view onto the lake or mountains.

Mark Twain suites: 70 m², spacious, air-conditioned suites in the Schlössli wing with a lounge and sleeping area, Panasonic TV/DVD system with flat screen, Bose Audio Device, wine cooler unit, large bathroom with a free-standing Philippe Starck tub, shower and shower-toilet, separate room (for children), and three balconies or terrace with views of the lake and mountains.

Rachmaninoff suite: 90 m², romantic, air-conditioned suite on two levels in the gables of the Schlössli wing, with free-standing whirlpool in the large lounge and sleeping area, Panasonic TV/DVD system with flat screen, Bose Audio Device, wine cooler unit, separate shower and shower-toilet, private lift access, and views of the lake and mountains.

The Adara suites are the finest example of attention to detail. For example the beds are Treca de Paris, the bedding Christian Fischbacher, and the furniture items are all masterpieces by Italian designers. The rooms range from 65-77 m2 and are generously-sized suites with homely charm, luxurious furnishings and a fantastic panorama overlooking the lake and mountains. Room facilities include: Balcony or terrace, air conditioning, sitting area, bed-length of 2.10 m, Panasonic TV/DVD Device, MP3 Docking Station, Bose Audio Device, an in-room wine cellar and bathroom with hair dryer, bath tub, shower, toilet and Dornbracht Bigrain rainshower.

Following the recent renovation work on the building, the Park Weggis is now a medley of architectural styles. The Art Nouveau façade remains, and yet guests can also take advantage of the top-notch technology in the exhibition area. The building is cleverly interlinked by semi-transparent glass panels. The unique built-in light-emitting diode equipment enables the area to transform magically simply by changing the lighting. Inside the building, covering an area of 275m2 there are a range of rooms suitable for banquets, weddings, conferences, exhibitions and presentations.

The Sparkling Wellness Spa plays an important role in the life of the hotel. Its main components are:.

Spa-Cottages: The six private Spa-Cottages, approximately 70 m2 each, are named after different gemstones, each with their very own magical significance: Ruby, Sodalite, Chrysocolla, Calcite, Amethyst, Rose Quartz. The Asia-inspired architecture with its natural, high quality materials made of natural stone and exotic wood, promises peace and exclusivity. It’s a unique atmosphere that touches all the senses. It allows you to listen to your favourite music, enjoy the fine fragrances, and experience the amazing treatments. A source of peace and quiet, it allows guests to take time out from the hectic pace of everyday life.
Sparkling Wellness Centre: The life-giving force of touch has been acknowledged in every civilisation since time immemorial to enhance our sense of well-being. Ancient cultures knew the importance of the human touch and that each individual has specific needs at certain times. Sparkling-Wellness offers guests the opportunity to experience an Individual-Treatment-Path. A special path with sensitive treatments adapted specifically to the way each guest feel at any given time – for that human touch that strengthens the body, mind and soul. A life in perfect balance that senses each client’s unique requirements: with the Sparkling-Wellness-Experience all sense of stress will simply disappear. Time gains a new dimension, restoring peace and harmony. With this awareness in mind a team of competent therapists accompany each guest through their experience, attending to their every need with an open heart and great warmth to guarantee them zest and joie de vivre.
The open-air pool (15 х 6,5 meters,) finished with natural black stone, bewitches guests by playing games with light, water and colour. The temperature of the water in the Sparkling pool is kept at 30°C, allowing guests to bathe in the pool all year round. The hinged roof can be activated instantly to rescue bathers from the rain or sun.

The spacious relaxation hall is decorated with gilt Tibetan mandalas encouraging guests to simply relax.

Zurich’s Widder Hotel, built on the site of Roman and Celtic ruins, comprises nine medieval houses decorated with 15th-century frescoes. Given its historic depth, it is not surprising that architect Tilla Theus’s painstaking transformation took more than ten years. Every room is individually styled to mix the past, represented in the unusual circular rooms and passages, which refer to the Roman well uncovered during construction; and the modern, seen in furnishings created by such design greats as Charles and Ray Eames, and Frank Lloyd Wright. The Widder Bar offers over 300 single-malt whiskeys and is well-known in the jazz world, presenting stars like Diana Krall and Benny Green during the bi-annual concert series.

The Widder Hotel’s spacious, luxuriously furnished rooms are all individually decorated. They are air-conditioned and include a free minibar, a modern video and audio entertainment system by B&O, and an elegant bathroom.

Awarded 15 points by the Gault Millau guide, the Widder Restaurant serves Swiss and international gourmet cuisine. Traditional Swiss dishes are available in the Zur Schtund restaurant, and during the summer, guests can also dine in the courtyard.

At the Widder Bar, guests can choose from a large selection of spirits from around the world and enjoy regular live jazz performances. The light-flooded breakfast room has a glass roof that can be during the in summer.

Zurich’s Main Train Station and the shore of Lake Zurich can both be reached in just a 10-minute walk.
