A 5 star luxury hotel on the shores of Lake Lucerne for wellness, weddings, meetings and banquets, Park Weggis is a little piece of heaven offset by Lucerne’s picturesque landscapes, situated 30 minutes’ drive from Lucerne, 55 km form Zurich international airport, and 290 km from Geneva.
The hotel was opened in 1875 as the Hotel Bellevue. The main building and Schlössli wings are art nouveau constructions. The hotel takes pride of place in the centre of a 22,000 m2 park set in the spectacular heart of the Alps. Park Weggis is part of the Relais & Chateaux group.
The hotel has three main restaurants:
Gourmet restaurant annex: Awarded a 1 Star in Guide Michelin Switzerland 2008 and 15 Gault Millau points, this restaurant serves a light, healthy, aromatic gourmet’s cuisine with a tempting blend of traditional French influence and harmonious Asian and Mediterranean inspiration. By the creative conversion of his innovative cuisine, wherever possible, Chef René Rischmeyer selects market-fresh seasonal products from the region.
Sparks Restaurant: Awarded 14 Gault Millau points, this Swiss kitchen serves a light sparkling cuisine in a trendy atmosphere. Beneath candelabras in the art nouveau banquet hall, guests enjoy the best of everything with delicious Sparks delicacies created by Chef Florian Gilges.
The Grape Restaurant: This restaurant offers Californian wines from the Napa Valley, specialities from around the world and a wide range of juicy steaks from the grill.
Park Weggis also has a beach bar lounge, caviar-bar and wine cellar. With some 2,600 items on offer the Park Hotel Weggis boasts one of the best wine lists in Switzerland. The extensive choice also includes absolute rarities, a choice selection that spans the vineyards of the world and lends a new dimension to enjoyment of wine. The award-winning list is a consistent winner of The Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence.
To pamper themselves, guests can choose from the Med Beauty centre, Sparkling Wellness spa and Japanese Meditation Garden. The hotel also boasts the Aquarius Hall exhibition centre, a private beach, dock and boats, an open-air pool, a fitness centre with top of the rage weight-loss and cardio equipment, table tennis, billiards, mountain bikes, water skates, catamaran trips, library and crèche. The unique built-in light-emitting diode equipment enables the area to transform magically simply by changing the lighting. Inside the building, covering an area of 275m2 there are a range of rooms suitable for banquets, weddings, conferences, exhibitions and presentations.
