Situated in the foot hills of Mont-Pellerin at a height of 800 metres, amongst vineyards, meadows, pastures and forests, the Mirador Kempinski hotel is one of the most luxurious buildings in Switzerland in the images of a small castle. It is an oasis of tranquillity and peace, surrounded by a unique panorama. The view from the hotel is a masterpiece of nature. A bird’s-eye view of the Swiss Riviera unfolds in front of guests, while glistening image of Lake Geneva is surrounded by the snow-topped peaks. To the left is the legendary city of Montreux and the Castle of Chillon, and below is the picturesque city of Vevey.
Throughout the hotel there reigns an aristocratic atmosphere, a home with magnificent and comfortable interiors. A large fine-art collection decorates the rooms, salons and the hotel’s restaurants.
Constructed in 1904 the hotel was initially called Mon Repos medical centre, which earlier specialised in rehabilitation programmes and hydro treatments, as well as courses of physiotherapy and electrotherapy. The exceptional location combined with the temperate and sunny climate and pure Swiss air very quickly made this of a favourite resort of the Swiss, French, German and English upper classes at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1951 Mon Repos became a hotel and invested a lot of money into its redevelopment in order to deserve its palatial title. At the beginning of the 1970s Mon Repos was renamed the Le Mirador. Thanks to significant efforts from the new owner, Mr. Jozeph Segel, the hotel built a swimming pool, a tennis court, a spa and a center for weight loss and rehabilitation. He also developed a new cosmetic range that made Mirador world famous. As a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the hotel offers 61 contemporary or classic guest rooms and suites.
With its three restaurants, including the Michelin starred Le Trianon, the traditional Swiss eatery Au Chalet and Le Patio’s Italian cuisine, the property offers a wide range of gastronomy. The Lounge Piano Bar has one of the most spectacular terraces in Europe. The hotel also provides a superb and ideal environment with natural light for meetings, conferences, private cocktails or parties for up to 130 persons.
Le Mirador Kempinski operates a Givenchy Spa, an exclusivity for Switzerland and only four worldwide and a dedicated Medical Centre: the Swiss Center for prevention, integrative medicine and well-aging.
