Yverdon-les-Bains is situated on the coast of lake Neuchâtel in the heart of a natural setting formed by the summits of the Jura, the wide plains of the river Orbe, the hills of the Broye and the waters of the lake of Neuchâtel. Today Yverdon-les-Bains is the second most important town in the Canton of Vaud. This naturally creates an abundance of opportunities for year-round sports and entertainment: more than 200 km of walking and ski routes, cycle paths, golf, fishing. The city captivates visitors with its fine landscapes, summer terraces and market places. Yverdon-les-Bains is known for its heritage as the birthplace of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, a Swiss pedagogue and educational reformer. Amongst the long list of sights that the resort has to offer is a 13th century castle and Celtic archaeological monuments.

The resort is known for its sulphuric and magnesium thermal waters. For more than 20 centuries thermal waters at Yverdon-les-Bains have attracted the attention as both tourists, and local residents.
The thermals spas can treat a range of conditions: patients who have limited movement, patients post trauma or operation and those suffering from respiratory illnesses such as chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis.
